A septic company built on honesty and real experience
We’ve worked on septic systems from every angle — installing them, digging them up, repairing them, and keeping them running. Backed by our family’s excavation roots, we bring straight talk, real skill, and zero upsells to every job.
How Warthog Septic got its start
Warthog Septic didn’t appear out of thin air — it grew out of years of muddy boots, dug trenches, and “you won’t believe this” septic jobs. Dane saw how badly homeowners needed a straight-shooting septic crew who actually knew what they were doing. So he built one. Here’s how it all came together.
Corporate life wasn’t it
Before launching Warthog, Dane started in corporate equipment sales — good job, good benefits, the whole “American dream” playbook. But the more time he spent behind a desk, the more obvious it became: he wanted work that felt real. Work where the results were tangible, the people were honest, and the days didn’t revolve around conference calls.
Into the trenches
Dane joined his family’s company, Swenson Excavation, a respected local business specializing in septic installs, foundations, utilities, drainage, and full-site dirt work. This is where he learned septic systems from the ground up — digging trenches, setting tanks, building drainfields, and solving the “underground stuff” most people never see.
Today, some larger or excavation-heavy services (like full system replacements or utility line work) are still performed through Swenson, giving homeowners a reliable path for any job, big or small.
WHEN SEPTIC SYSTEMS AREN’T CLEARLY EXPLAINED
Through years of hands-on experience in the field, Dane saw a consistent challenge across the broader septic industry: homeowners often felt confused and overwhelmed by a system they were expected to understand quickly. Clear explanations weren’t always easy to find, and too many people were left piecing together incomplete or conflicting information instead of getting straightforward, honest guidance.
Creating Warthog Septic — with Swenson in our corner
Warthog Septic was built to give homeowners the specialized help they weren’t getting elsewhere. Dane launched it as a septic-only service with straightforward communication and zero-pressure guidance — and when excavation or major digging is needed, Swenson Excavation steps in as our trusted partner. One family. Two companies. Total coverage for everything underground.

Experience that keeps Your septic systems running right
There’s no magic number, but here’s the truth: most septic tanks need pumping every 3–5 years. If you’ve got a big family, a small tank, or a habit of flushing things you shouldn’t (looking at you, “flushable” wipes), you’ll fill up faster. Ignoring it? That’s how you end up with backups, soggy yards, and smells you’ll never forget.
